I used to walk in the rainforest deep,
Where towering trees would sway and creep,
Through mists and streams and falling rain,
I found my peace, my heart's refrain.
The rustle of leaves and chirp of birds,
The earthy scent and whispered words,
All spoke to me of nature's power,
In this enchanted forest, bower.
The mossy ground, the ferns so green, A world unlike I'd ever seen,
So vast, so wild, so full of life,
A place to shed all worry and strife.
I used to walk in the rainforest, true,
And though I'm gone, it remains with you,
A treasure for all to explore and find,
The beauty of nature, is forever enshrined.
A mystical and wondrous sight,
I feel alive, at one with all, yes, it’s true I used to walk
In the Pacific Northwest rainforest sprawl.
