Luminous Touch with Ruth Urman
Stories, Soul Work & Substack | Upcoming Episode
On the next Stories, Soul Work & Substack, July 27th at 4:00 PM EST / 3:00 PM CST / 1:00 PM PST / EUROPE 9:00 PM GMT / 10:00 PM CET
On the next episode of Stories, Soul Work & Substack, I’ll be sitting down with Ruth Urman, the voice behind The Elegant Bohemian Life — a writer whose work moves through sensuality, transformation, and the courage to live authentically.
Ruth is currently bringing to life her memoir, Luminous Touch: Awakening to Sensuality in Everyday Life — a deeply personal exploration of what it means to feel, to experience, and to live fully present in your own body and story.
Her writing doesn’t ask for permission.
It doesn’t soften itself to be accepted.
It simply is — expressive, emotional, and unapologetically alive.
Ruth’s journey with words began early. As a child, she immersed herself in stories from her parents’ library, allowing imagination to carry her into other worlds. By the age of ten, she had already discovered something many spend a lifetime searching for — that a blank page is not empty, it is possibility.
That relationship with writing never left her.
Over the years, Ruth has written across many forms — memoirs, children’s stories, poetry, self-help, articles, and copywriting. Her voice has reached millions, including over 8.5 million views through her contributions on Google Maps. But beyond numbers, what stands out is her commitment to exploring the depth of human emotion.
Because Ruth doesn’t write to impress.
She writes to feel.
On Substack, her work reflects that same spirit. Pieces like “Sans Fear,” “Do You Feel Alive?” and “Sex or No Sex — Is That Really the Question?” move through themes many people hesitate to approach — intimacy, identity, desire, and the quiet tension between who we are and who we allow ourselves to be.
That’s where this conversation begins.
On this episode, we’ll explore Ruth’s story — the path that shaped her voice, her relationship with creativity, and the experiences that led her to embrace a life rooted in authenticity.
We’ll talk about the soul work behind her writing. Because to live sensually — to be present, open, and honest — requires a willingness to confront discomfort, vulnerability, and truth without hiding from it.
And finally, we’ll talk about writing itself.
Writing, at its core, is an act of discovery. It reveals what we often keep buried. It challenges the roles we’ve accepted. It invites us to step into a version of ourselves that feels more aligned, more honest, more free.
Ruth embodies that idea.
Her work is not about fitting into expectations.
It’s about stepping beyond them.
Because living authentically isn’t loud.
It’s not performative.
It’s a quiet decision made again and again — to show up as yourself, without apology.
Your Fellow Writer,
Rinaldo
